Compared to any other projector, LCD projector lamps have the largest life span from 1000 to 4000 hours. They seem to be the most cost efficient projectors ever. The quality of these lamps is extremely good since they there are not much flaws in imagery. Moreover these lamps do not require much attention and care when compared to all lamps used in practice.

Projector lamps have also some disadvantages and are more intricate than it seems first. Some projectors do not come with housing and or a cage. These projector bulbs are the most dangerous. When the housing or cage in these projector bulbs are absent then the high pressure tube is susceptible to damage. The tube contains mercury vapor at high pressure. When this highly pressurized mercury vapor seeps out of the projector bulb, they are inhaled and so cause permanent damage to the lungs. This makes our lives at risk too.
