Selmer BS500 Sax
Functioning as a well-constructed saxophone ideal for student use the BS500 Eb Baritone Saxophone is a great addition from Selmer to their lineup of student instruments, offering some handy features usually only found on professional instruments, such as:
• both low A and high F# keys,
• double key arms on low C and B keys,
• a reinforced table key arch,
• double body-to-bell braces,
• guide/braces on the lower stack, bell key hinge rods, high F and F# rods provide added stability,
• sturdy but lightweight hard-shell case with wheels.
Built tough to handle a workload of daily practice sessions, the Selmer BS500 saxophone has accurate scale yet is able to produce a big sound that beginners will like and band directors will appreciate. Usability of the BS500 is good with smooth motion brass lacquered key mechanisms which respond quickly, with an instant sound.
The BS 500 come with a 5 year factory warranty on all parts and labor, the warranty is also comprehensive in what it covers. As you would expect it cover any factory defects, but it also covers plating ware. So if you are looking for peace of mind to go with your new baritone saxophone, Selmer delivers the goods.

Selmer History
The Selmer family originally came from the Lorraine region in France and can trace their roots all the way back to the 18th century, with Johannes Jacobus Zelmer. During this time the best way for a family to get off the land and move to the city was to enlist in the army. Serving in the same regiment was an important tradition in the Zelmer family, with three generations serving. For the boys in the family who were too young to enlist, they joined the band. This is where Jean-Jacques Selmer (he changed the spelling of the family name) quickly developed his music talents and achieved the rank of drum major. selmer soloist alto saxophone
